Don't forget the dads!
Following on from the success of our Mother's Day morning the children invited their dads into preschool to have a bacon butty breakfast and to stop and play. The dads had a great time playing with the children in the garden till nearly lunch time. It was a good opportunity to have a few DIY jobs tackled too. We'll definitely be making our mother's day and father's day celebrations an occasion again next year!

Farm to Fork
Tesco have been running a programme locally and nationally teaching children about where their food comes from and about food sustainability. On Monday 13th June we had the opportunity to visit our local store in Bury St Edmunds. We took the children to Tesco and had a tour around the store, learning about all the different fruits and vegetables, and then the children got to go into the bakery and see how bread was made. Learn, Play and Grow!
Learn Play and Grow is a unique health and fitness programme for children. Since April we have had Sarah come into the preschool every fortnight to hold a session with the children. The activities they do range from physical activities using rhythm and movement to having a story with a specific moral teaching i.e. wearing your helmet whilst on a bike. The children have really enjoyed these sessions and we will be continuing these throughout the summer term.
